HUBTEX HL-AGV in Aircraft Assembly & Maintenance
mobilises stationary work platforms

  • HybridantriebMobilisation of Work Platforms

The HUBTEX HL-AGV mobilises stationary work platforms in aircraft assembly and maintenance. In synchronised coupled operation with a second vehicle, work platforms are lifted precisely and safely. A sensor-based assistance system ensures exact positioning under the load, while both HL-AGVs are conveniently controlled from a central console on the platform. With 360° omnidirectional steering and synchronised, all-electric lifting, the HL-AGV enables work at heights of up to 6.5 metres – delivering greater flexibility and safety in the final assembly line (FAL) and during MRO operations.

Advantages of the HUBTEX HL-AGV in FAL and MRO

Sensor-Based Assistance System with Integrated Collision Protection

The HUBTEX HL-AGV operates in synchronised coupled operation with two vehicles to precisely lift stationary work platforms in aircraft assembly and maintenance. A sensor-based assistance system with 2D/3D LIDAR and ultrasonic sensors ensures the target position under the load is reached collision-free and with absolute accuracy – without risk to equipment or aircraft structures. Both HL-AGVs are controlled via Bluetooth through a central console on the work platform. This provides maximum safety and process reliability in the sensitive environment of the final assembly line (FAL) and during MRO operations.

360° omnidirectional steering for precise manoeuvring in aircraft assembly and maintenance

The omnidirectional steering of the HUBTEX HL-AGV enables unrestricted movement in all directions – forwards, backwards, sideways and diagonally. This allows the vehicle to be manoeuvred precisely even in the confined spaces of an aircraft final assembly line (FAL) or aircraft hangar. Work platforms can thus be positioned efficiently next to complex aircraft structures such as the fuselage, wings or tail. This increases flexibility and process reliability in the aviation industry and supports seamless assembly and maintenance (MRO).

Features

Omnidirectional 360° steering
Hubtex HL-AGV for mobilizing work platforms on aircraft

Effortless manoeuvring in confined assembly halls and hangars

Thanks to 360° steering, the HL-AGV manoeuvres with millimetre precision through production halls and hangars. Lateral and diagonal movements facilitate the precise positioning of the platforms along complex aircraft structures.

Intuitive operation

Centralised Control for Enhanced Safety and Easy Operation

Control is provided via an ergonomically designed console mounted centrally on the work platform. This allows production staff to intuitively operate both HL-AGVs in synchronised mode without leaving their working position. As a result, process reliability is increased and training time for personnel is reduced.

Lifting height up to 6.5 metres

Flexible Reach for a Wide Range of Aircraft Types

The HUBTEX HL-AGV offers a lifting height of up to 6.5 metres, providing safe access to all critical areas of the aircraft fuselage and wings during assembly, outfitting and maintenance. This extended reach delivers greater flexibility when working with different aircraft models and configurations, while also enhancing productivity in the final assembly line (FAL) and during MRO operations.
